METAL GEAR ONLINE PREMIERE BETA players
We would like to thank all players for their keen interest in taking part in the beta test.
However, we regret to inform you that due to extraordinary levels of traffic from all around the globe, we have been unable to run the service to the level we expected.
As a temporary measure, we will be deferring the European public beta test and start it once we stabilize our server.
We would like to apologize for all inconveniences as well as confusion caused.
We would like to add that due to the above reasons, we will be making the following changes to the schedule:
1) Start date: Planned for 04/25/2008 24:00(PDT). While the start is planned for the weekend, it may change due to unforseen circumstances.
2) Beta Test closure: This will now be on 05/11/2008 at 24:00(PDT) rather than 05/05/2008 at 24:00(PDT)
IMPORTANT: Please note that your voucher code will only be valid up until 05/05/2008, so please make sure to register them by then.
Metal Gear Solid® 4 Guns of the Patriots Pre-orders - Participate in the Metal Gear® Online Beta!
This is a special offer, made through participating retailers and store locations, for customers that pre-order either the Metal Gear Solid® 4 Guns of the Patriots Standard Edition or the Metal Gear Solid® 4 Guns of the Patriots Limited Edition, you may receive a “Metal Gear Saga Vol. 2” DVD with Metal Gear®Online BetaUnique Product Voucher Code and instructions to download the Beta as a free gift with your pre-order. Participating retailers and their respective store locations should be getting their shipments and making them available in early April. Please check with your retailer and store location of choice and see if they are participating and when they will have stock available. Quantities are very limited, and are available while supplies last.
The “Metal Gear Saga Vol. 2” DVD contains extensive video content, which primarily focuses on the interconnected history of the “Snakes”: Big Boss (Naked Snake), Liquid Snake, Solidus Snake, and of course, Solid Snake. Additionally, the DVD contains a compendium of the Metal Gear Solid® 4 Guns of the Patriots trailers to date and a special Prologue video to Metal Gear Solid® 4 Guns of the Patriots.
An insert in the DVD case is your ticket to the Metal Gear® Online Beta, containing the Unique Product Voucher Code and instructions to download the Beta. You may use your code to download the Metal Gear® Online Beta from April 17th to May 5th and the game play will be available from April 21st to May 5th.
The Metal Gear® Online Beta features two maps, four gameplay modes, the SOP System that encourages up to 16 players to team up and share information, and deep skill-customization. Also equipped with auto-matching and training modes, the Metal Gear® Online Betaoffers players a sneak peak of this totally new approach to console-based competitive gaming.
